I booked this on AA.com but it priced out at $679.00. I called AA to pay for the ticket and the agent repriced it down to $629.00.
DMK to CGK can be booked on AirAsia for around $84 depending on the exchange rate you get for that day.

Just to throw in another idea:
LAX-DFW-NRT-BKK//CGK-NRT-ORD-LAX for $662, or roughly 2.9cpm. Saw many dates in Feb. There is a min. stay requirement, so trying to figure out work schedule before buying!

Not questioning that this is a great price, but the BKK-CGK segment should be factored in the cost.

I booked LAX-SIN and then CGK-LAX, it was slightly more - a little over $700 but the CPM works out to be the same because of extra flights and flying DFW-HKG-DFW on AA in both directions. Here's the routing I did:
LAX-ORD-DFW-HKG-SIN and then CGK-HKG-DFW-ORD-LAX
I wanted to get the most miles out of it and avoid BKK because of the torture visa on arrival was when I was there last time. I believe other cities in Asia worked out to a similar pricing and at one point I had Jakarta on the outbound and SIN on the inbound, so the open jaws are interchangable. No SWUs for me as I still have a Chairman's account and not an EXP one. Maybe one day American will allow me to make these long trips in a more comfortable setting. Until then, Main Cabin Extra it is.
