Great tip. Thanks!

Nice one The BA website is a bugger to use, but it can useful to book with the airline - and in this case it comes in a couple of quid cheaper (though that depends how your credit card handles the conversion of NOK to GBP).

Only for the headstrong as it is a 76 hour round trip, but I happened to spot BOG GRU SCL AKL SYD RT AI for $1038. That's about 4.5cpm and the best price I have seen from BOG to SYD ever. I have not even seen prices like this from GRU or SCL in the last couple of years.

There's a quirk too. The BOG GRU segment is on AV and the other segments are on JJ codeshares on LA but the sweet bit, it all books into full Y so 100% miles

It's about 23000 miles round trip and on the outbound you get an ideally timed 11 hour layover in Santiago

I would totally do this just as a fun way to see SYD and if stopovers could be built in, at AKL.

same city pair was showing an insane price of $2600 in J on DL, but it reprices on click through to >$7500 and dumps the LAX-SYD leg into Y

however, BOG-GRU-SCL-SYD is available at $4100 in J which isn't awful for that many miles and the COS bonuses. however, booking into full Y for just over $1k is arguably a better deal from a cpm perspective.

Nice one, but worth extra 40 euros to avoid overnight, nearly 24 hour layover in London.

ORD-MSY-ORD for 86 USD

US Airways and American Airlines are offering round-trip flights from Chicago to New Orleans for just 86 USD including taxes.

Pfft. I flew that for £166 last year

This sort of construction has been around for a long long time now. I did wonder whether it would disappear given certain blogs have these up every week (chock full of comments such as "wow, can I just start in London and not start from OSL?") but no, it's like the gift that keeps on giving.

For around the same price or a little more, you can vary your open jaws at both ends too.
