I am thinking about this little run with a day or two in Omaha. Pretty bookable in Mid-Nov at $252 from LAX via ATL both ways. I am looking at dates like 11/12-13 return 11/15 and see $252 on numerous dates around then. Even seems possible as a pure MR in that date range. Bookable on Delta.com

Also SAN
There are fall routings available from SAN to OMA for as low as $210, but not thru ATL nor any redeye options. [Now $231 rt such as Nov 8-9 overnight]
OP or mods: might want to re-type the thread title into the body of the first post for the benefit of people who can't see the thread titles.
There's actually stuff to see in Omaha or nearby Council Bluffs if one can stay a day or two.

To answer your question there is no way to get to 5920 miles on a LAX-OMA fare -- for the same $250-ish price.
LAX-ATL-OMA-ATL-LAX is best you can do for $247, and it's 5522 miles. It's available on Nov 14-15 with the outbound from LAX-ATL as an overnight redeye. I'm doing LAX-ATL-OMA-DTW-LAX for slightly less miles, but it allows for a day in Omaha.
If you want, you can do something like LAX-ATL-OMA-ATL-LAX-LAS-LAX, but that's just two roundtrips booked back to back. Look at LAX-LAS, PDX, SFO/OAK, or SEA as your second trip to get those extra miles.

Posting the same question in two different threads is considered a no-no.
