- (I just opened a new thread on this NRT-CGK promo for 7/23-9/30/14 as TYCGK code since I didn't find one here or other blogs. All can register, and is not restricted by JP address or citizenship - confirmed w/ AAdv cust. svc. I got a few bonus miles by noting it only at above link or also off AA Japan home page http://www.aa.com/intl/jp/AAdvantage_en/AAdvantage.jsp to http://www.aa.com/intl/jp/promo_en/t...uble-miles.jsp )
So what hours is the lounge in CGK open? Does it open at 4am?

I had a look at shower facilities (on both sides- First and Business) and decided to wait till NRT :-) Ask the attendant for Towels if you really have to use the facilities:-)

I was planning to take the Platinum Challenge starting October 1st. Will this MR allow me to meet my 10000 EQP's?

What flights did you book? All AA flight numbers? What are the terms noted in your Plat Challenge email?

LOL - this is completely true. I endured the shower in Jakarta to free up more time to enjoy the other amenities of the Sakura Lounge. NRT is about the only place where I complain about my layover being too short

Originating in DFW or ORD will give you enough to complete the Plat challenge.

If DFW, add DFW-LAX leg on return to knock about $150 off the fare.

Originating in LAX only gives you enough if it routes via DFW I believe.

And just fyi & fwiw, an Advantage customer service rep just assured my that class of service bonuses and EQP's earned are based on the booking code (i.e. the fare class you are booked in) and NOT the fare basis. Right or wrong???

Looking at possibly doing this in October, but mine is out of DCA, so the cost is about $300 more. I am AA Plat and it looks like most flights are on JAL and it routes me through NRT not HKG (which is fine for me), I know I'll be able to use the JAL lounges since I am AA Plat, but my flight gets me into CGK at 1:00 am and then my flight out isn't until 9:30 PM. I'd rather stick around at the airport than try and venture anywhere outside. What would be my options?

Actually, looking into doing this the 23rd of October -26th. I would have a layover at CGK from 1:00am - 6:45am when my flight back to NRT leaves. I see from prior posts that there may not be much of a transit area. Do I need to go through customs?

can someone confirm that the CX flight earns miles? Because it is AA ticketed, so it doesn't matter that CX Q doesn't earn anything?

If you book as the AA code share (AA flight number), you earn 100% EQMs. If booked under the CX number, you earn no EQMs for a Q fare.
