I put this on hold
I leave LAX the morning of Sep 22, return Sep 25. About 42 hours on the ground. $781 and MCE as US Chairman. This will get me pretty close to Chairman next year which is very good assuming the benefits stay the same.

I book mostly for mileage jogs or vacation runs, so all my HKG trips (4) through April are 3-4 nights. Just glad I booked a while back (and probably paid about $150 more) when C was avail at booking.
Edit: Just a note, but I've found Metropark Causeway Bay hotel to be very convenient for transportation and having had some decent prices on booking.com, hotels.com, and otel.com including breakfast.

Went up by a couple hundred bucks
I guess we should thank DL for firing the first shot here to promote their SEA-HKG service. In July '09 we did DL LAX-SYD during the first week of this route for about $600.
I'm getting moderately excited about this. Only two nights in HKG but that's what Red Bull is for.
As US Chairman Preferred I should get access to a F class lounge in HKG, correct?
