  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!
  • Double-check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTAs confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as much detail as possible about the First/Business fare, including: fare class, fare basis, one-way/round-trip, sales channel, sample dates and total price (including taxes).
  • When posting fare rules, please enclose them in a [COĐE][/COĐE] block. Note the use of the eth (Đ) instead of a capital D here to prevent the forum software from trying to insert an actual block. Be sure you use the capital D.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain point of origin, and only very rarely work in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Please include important information such as operating airline, fare classes, city pairs, etc. in the body of your post rather than the post title field as it is not visible to those reading FT on mobile devices. This is not the "trick it" thread. Please do not speak in code.
  • Please do not post large images. Not everyone has infinite resolution, and it makes the rest of the thread very difficult to read. If it's not important enough to type in, it's not important enough to be here.
  • Last but not least: don't call the airline!

Note: There is a known miscoding on ITA and elsewhere, where fares on EI (Aer Lingus) are showing as being in first class. This is not correct, as Aer Lingus does not offer first class. If you see this fare, please ignore it and do not post it here as it is completely unbookable in every sense of the term. The mods are summarily deleting these posts in order to unclutter the thread.

Note: There is a known miscoding on ITA and elsewhere, where Z fares on EY (Etihad) are showing as being in first class. This is not correct, as Z fares are discount business on EY. These fares will not receive chaffeur service. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/etihad-airways-etihad-guest/1622229-removal-chauffeur-service-some-business-class-passengers.html

List of known, active deals:

JNB-DXB-SFO in EK F, $4k-ish one-way
MLE-HKG-US (various) in C, $1400 +/- available only on CX's website.
CMB-MIA, other US cities, for about $4400 in F, round-trip/return

BA AARP $400 discount for J/F bookings is now valid again for booking until 31 Oct 2014 but departure to EOS seems to get the discount. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/british-airways-executive-club/1435816-ba-fare-discounts-aarp-4.html

Down to ~2,000 in July; tempting to add a side trip to GIG for world cup. Too bad the JFK-EZE leg is on a 777-200 angle lie flat 2-3-2 seating

About time. ^ I've been wanting to go to EZE for some time now but not wanting to pay the inflated prices on UA.

Apparently the same holds true for all routings on AA, but the UA routing provides a lie-flat seat with 2-2-2 seating.

But you only have to pay once and it's good for ten years.

Upgrading AA 772 C to F is an excellent use of an eVIP upgrade cert if you have any available. With a 16 seat F cabin, the 772 typically has plenty of upgrade space available.

Note that the fare has a 14AP requirement.

AA ILE6MIQ1 fare actually has a 50 day advanced purchase requirement.

Curious if the hard core road warriors agree this is a particularly good deal. Looking back to last year, AA (or LAN) had a $954 DFW-EZE deal (which I took advantage of). Was that a mistake or just a really really good deal? I have one of these new ones on hold for November when it will be good and hot in BA .

Also, not to digress too far, I'm currently AA Gold and about to boost to Plat. What is probability on clearing w/ miles (+ copay) upgrade? Better to wait until I get Plat or does it matter?

Found and booked this as well, a variation of the LIM and EZE fares. Hope this helps someone!

DL
LAX-LIM end September
EZE-LAX early October, via JFK

$2191 ai (Business Elite + Domestic First), includes 76Ws with flatbeds and all-aisle access in the ATL-LIM, EZE-ATL, and JFK-LAX legs! If you don't mind an 11hr layover in ATL on the outbound (e.g. get work done while waiting for your LIM flight), you can also take the 76W redeye from LAX the night before.

10.9cpm

There must be multiple LAX-EZE good deal fares floating around then. I found some early March availability around $2200 RT; checked fare rules and it was a 14-day advance purchase.

Biz class to Deep South America sub-$2500 RT is a good deal. Perhaps not a great deal, but definitely a good one. We see sales like this occasionally; they're not exactly rare, but nor do they occur all the time. I'd jump on this if I wanted to go to BUE anyway. In the unlikely event something cheaper pops up between now and departure, you can always rebook and just eat the change fee.

Also, not to digress too far, I'm currently AA Gold and about to boost to Plat. What is probability on clearing w/ miles (+ copay) upgrade? Better to wait until I get Plat or does it matter?
I believe that if the proper inventory is available anyone can confirm the upgrade immediately and status doesn't matter. If the upgrade inventory is not available immediately and you must waitlist for it, then I believe waitlist clearing takes place by status.
