The below is from our moderator (taken from the first post of the thread - bolding is mine). Feel free to add more if necessary / as needed.

Happy 2014!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:

-members posting their deals please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices (ETA: ...or in email alerts)

-some members may be unaware that you can subscribe to this thread and to do that you can go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".

Delta has flights MDW/ORD to SJC for $308 earning 6,190 MQM, cpm just under 4.97. My routing is MDW-DTW-LAX-SJC-ATL-DTW-MDW on a one-day trip. Multiple dates throughout end of February and some of March.

And I checked in reverse, Since I am in LA, and its $878 which works out to €649/£538 Return. Nice fare on a nice airline, although I have not checked on what fare code this books into.

its on the front page of the ANZ USA website: http://www.airnewzealand.com/london-special-offer#terms

AC from Canada to LON and BRU/DUS/FRA/GVA/LON/MUC/PAR/VIE/ZRH for cheap

Sorry for the CAPS, I'm copying from the Fare Rules.

Air Canada is currently offering "LOW/OFF-PEAK SEASON MIDWEEK REGULAR EXCURSION FARES" for transatlantic tiockets to London, which permit free stopovers in BRU/DUS/FRA/GVA/LON/MUC/PAR/VIE/ZRH of up to 6 months. Travel must originate in Canada.

There is NO min. stay requirement in LON!

This means, that you can create bookings that

a) either go to LON first, continue straight on to your stopover city, stay there, then come back to Canada
b) cross the Atlantic, stay in your stopover city, then fly to LON and straight on back to Canada.

Or, you may stay in London AND one of those cities.

"THE HIGHER INTERMEDIATE POINT RULE DOES NOT APPLY FOR STOPOVERS."

Fare rules I am quoting from are KLXRCT6 (which seems to allow W class as well). A travel agent has also seen LLXRCT6 at slightly higher prices (~CAD 25 per direction), where the ticket can be issued until Feb 10, but I don't have those rules. KLXRCT6 and LLXRCT6 can be combined.

As for KLXRCT6: Ticket must be issued by Feb 5, transatlantic travel is Monday through Wednesday only, Sunday rule, and "PERMITTED (...) THROUGH 24MAR ON THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL SECTOR".

Fare rules say that the transatlantic segments must be an AC flight operated by AC, LH, UA, LX, OS, VO, SN or ZX (??? Beechraft Transatlantic anyone?).

5 TRANSFERS PERMITTED IN EACH DIRECTION FREE
3 FREE IN AREA 2/AREA 3 IN EACH DIRECTION
2 FREE IN AREA 1 IN EACH DIRECTION

Note that FARE BREAK SURFACE SECTORS NOT PERMITTED AND EMBEDDED SURFACE SECTORS PERMITTED ON THE FARE COMPONENT.

END-ON-END
END-ON-END COMBINATIONS PERMITTED. (...)
SIDE TRIPS PERMITTED.
PROVIDED -
COMBINATIONS ARE NOT FOR CARRIER 4Q (??? Safi Airways is banned in Europe anyway...)

OPEN JAWS/ROUND TRIPS/CIRCLE TRIPS
FARES MAY BE COMBINED ON A HALF ROUND TRIP BASIS
-TO FORM SINGLE OR DOUBLE OPEN JAWS.
MILEAGE OF THE OPEN SEGMENT MUST BE EQUAL/LESS THAN
MILEAGE OF THE LONGEST FLOWN FARE COMPONENT.
-TO FORM ROUND TRIPS/CIRCLE TRIPS.
PROVIDED -
COMBINATIONS ARE WITH ANY FARE FOR CARRIER AC/LH/LX/OS/
UA/SN PUBLISHED FOR TRAVEL VIA THE ATLANTIC.

CHARGE CAD 300.00 FOR CANCEL/NO-SHOW/REFUND.
CHILD/INFANT DISCOUNTS APPLY.
WAIVED FOR DEATH OF PASSENGER OR FAMILY MEMBER.

The usual online booking websites didn't do it, but travel agents can do it, once you explain to them in person what you want. (Flight Centre was a surprisingly good experience; voucher code FCREMARKETPPC may save you what is essentially their booking fee).

What I booked: YHZ-YYZ-VIE, VIE-LHR-YHZ für CAD 874.xx (~USD 788)! The fare component is C$ 189 return, the rest is fees, YQ of "USD 243.00 PER DIRECTION", and taxes. My first leg is W, rest is K, all on AC flight numbers. So there is no mileage run potential.

The very same flights booked on Aircanada.com are 50% more expensive, albeit with different fare rules.

CAD 483 return is unbelievable! CAD 125 of that is only the UK Departure tax. CAD 483 is less than the YQ Air Canada would charge on a TA return.
