The below is from our moderator (taken from the first post of the thread - bolding is mine). Feel free to add more if necessary / as needed.

Happy 2014!

Please use this thread to post or to follow Economy Fares which are 'Good Deals' but where the cost per mile is more than 3-4 cents per mile, which is the usual upper limit for what is considered a true 'MR Deal'.

A few requests for posting in the thread:

-members posting their deals please post the city pairs/airport codes and pricing in the body of the post and not just in the post title as it isn't visible for those reading it on mobile devices (ETA: ...or in email alerts)

-some members may be unaware that you can subscribe to this thread and to do that you can go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click on "Subscribe to this thread".

Alaska Airlines LAX-ANC non-stops at $296-$317 all-in. Various dates mid-May through September, including Labor Day weekend. Also available via AA.com on AA codeshare for the same price (which is useful if you have some AA vouchers).

Great fare, and Anchorage is a really fun, affordable 2-3 day getaway from LA during the summer. I went last year and am returning again.

I haven't booked it personally. Thought I'd post here to see if anybody could find other combinations. It does appear to be isolated.

Don't get your hopes up. Just tried to book this flight and eDreams adds the YQ back in, bumps it up to $882:

While booking your flight the airline made a change in the price due to the extra fees it charges for luggage, credit cards and airport check-in. The price has increased by $518.91

That's some awfully expensive baggage... Remember, a motor home cannot be checked onto a commercial aircraft!

AirBerlin should book to Aadvantage with no problem. Have to check the booking class. I'm still trying to find the booking class on edreams. However, assuming AB books 100% to AA, I am seeing an option to nest a return to JFK on 5/17 with a return to HEL on 5/25 for $676 using Finair and BA, also bookable on edreams.

So, in theory for $992 you end up with somewhere around 20,000 EQM. Again, assuming the fare classes all book 100% eqm.

On the other hand, HEL should be decent in May, and you could spend a week in far worse places.

F9: DCA-MSN R/T Nonstop $98.20 AI (through 1/31)

Haven't seen this fare reported yet.

Prior to F9 ending its nonstop service from DCA to MSN on 2/1/14, it's having a fire sale with a $98.20 R/T fare. Not a true mileage run, but an excellent fare. When have you seen a legit sale fare for under $100 on a R/T flight of over 1,400 miles? Seems like there is plenty of availability.

I'm flying from DCA on 1/30 and back on 1/31. My F9 miles are expiring soon, so this is one way to extend them for another 18 months.

The 72 hour visa free transit in China requires a ticket to a 3rd country. Cannot be used for a return ticket back to the US (US-China-US).

Yes, of course you need to transit to a 3rd country. Hong Kong 7,500 Avios OW, Tokyo 10,000. Cheap flights to Macau. Award travel to TPE. There are many options. This isn't a real mileage run given the 7 day stay requirement, but a great fare to position yourself for seeing multiple regions in Asia, while earning a ton of miles.

From the forum FAQ:
What is a Mileage Run? A true mileage run is a trip that’s sole purpose is to earn miles or points in a particular travel industry loyalty program.
Note that nothing there mentions a stay requirement.
