I've booked 3 trips to Europe this year for $620 in Y IAD-IST, $1650 in J VPS-AMS, and $510 in Y JFK-OSL. However, I consider anything <$1k in Y and <$2k in J a deal to Europe and <$1.5k in Y and <$2.5k in J a deal to Asia. That would make them appropriate for this thread or its partner premium deals thread. Just my two cents.

I've actually never flown to Asia, but the $2.5k number is the limit for what I'd book with cash since that means $5k for the two of us. Beyond that it's points, cheap Y, or we're not going. Obviously, to each his/her own on these numbers.
