Awww ... that's too bad. I've been wanting to go to Peru and waiting for a good fare from ORD.

Awesome find! Thanks OP. Just found a flight to LIM out of EWR that I might book!

Thanks PVDtoDEL. I was able to get a fare of $485 RT from DEN for the dates I wanted. Else it was $410 for mid-week departures.

Something I always wanted to visit for the right fare. Thanks to Delta for a decent fare from DEN.

Looks like a hub-attack. In looking at the rules, it has a ticket-by date of 9/3 (could be pulled before then, of course), and a season of Nov. 19-April 14.

Also looks like you get a much better seat/date selection by forcing 3 DL segments both ways on ITA. Most dates in March opened up after doing that at around $404 a-i from IAH-LIM RT.

Thanks OP! This is a great deal from DEN. Any suggestion on things to do in LIM.
Travellingman, when are you going?

Yes, apparently the popular thing to do on FT now is post the one way fares for ex-USA departures if they're available, because much of the taxes hit on the return, so the tickets look significantly more attractive (187 one way vs 400ish return as others noted).

Here is the breakdown:
~140 base each way
on the outbound you have
US September 11th Security Fee (AY) $2.50
[share of] US Passenger Facility Charge (XF) [Variable]
US International Departure Tax (US) $17.20
Peru Int'l Arrival Tax (DY) $15.00

On the return you have
[share of] US Passenger Facility Charge (XF) [Variable]
Peru Airport Departure Tax (HW) $30.74
US International Arrival Tax (US) $17.20
US Customs Fee (YC) $5.50
US Immigration Fee (XY) $7.00
USDA APHIS Fee (XA) $5.00

So essentially, due to the differences in the Peru tax and US arrival fees, the return is $30 more expensive because that is when the taxes hit. $187 x 2 + $30 more in return taxes = $400ish cost of RT ticket

Can someone explain to me how to force 3 DL segments on ITA or direct me to a better glossary than the one available on ITA?

If you put in your dates, 3 segments will show up as an option, no need to force it

Not seeming anything out of IAH under $900. Gone?

I'm currently finding MIA from $613 on several dates in mid-November, but only 2 segments so it's still >8cpm. Not finding anything better than that.
