Then you can visit Amman and Petra they are very close to TLV

Via JFK is 12,834 mi = 5.0 cpm
Routing also avail thru ATL/MSP/DTW yielding more miles:
example: via JFK/ATL on inbound route is $650 ai =13,460 mi = 4.8 cpm

Many avail dates; Sat night stay required

Just came back from TLV, AMM and Petra on Friday. Well worth the trip, but "close" is relative. The 5 hour trek down the Kings Hwy from AMM to Petra is long, hot and barren. I would leave a minimum of 2 days for this excursion from AMM. Best to throw in the Dead Sea too if you're that close! RJ flies NS (30 min flight) TLV<>AMM 2-3x daily if you want to get from one city to the other and saves you tons of time avoiding border crossings.

I flew into TLV and then took a flight to Amman and them hired a car with driver for $50 per day for two days he drive us to Petra we spent the night there and visited next day Petra and he drove us back to Amman to catch our flight at night
It is doable and as the upper reply by funflier mentioned you need full 2 or Bette 3 days to do Jordan part. But it is well worth it.
