UA: IAD/DCA-ANC/AUS/BOS $348 ai RT (4.6 per mile; Sept-Oct & maybe other dates)
I just purchased a roundtrip on UA from IAD to ANC for $347.30. I am flying up on Saturday morning, Sept. 28, 2013, with a return on Sept. 29, 2013, the next day. I arrive back at IAD on Monday Sept. 30, 2013, at 0729. Connection at SEA in both directions. Cost per mile: 4.6 cents.

IAD-EWR-SEA-ANC-DEN-IAH-IAD (8519 miles, 8806 with minimums)
Only 40k more miles needed for 1k this year!

Sep 28-29 DCA-IAH-DEN-ANC-SEA-EWR-DCA $378/8523 = 4.4cpm
Oct 12-13 DCA-IAH-DEN-ANC-SEA-EWR-DCA $355/8523 = 4.2cpm
Looked like there were other flights available during the week in early October - but managed to snag the weekend trips!
Sep 28-29 DCA-IAH-DEN-ANC-SEA-EWR-DCA $378/8523 = 4.4cpm
Oct 12-13 DCA-IAH-DEN-ANC-SEA-EWR-DCA $355/8523 = 4.2cpm

Also, I found this routing:
Aug. 30-Sep. 1 IAD-CLE-SFO-ANC-SFO-DEN-IAD = 9,097 PQM @ $357 3.9 CPM (including 500 PQM minimums)
The only downside is that there are some short layovers in CLE (35 minutes) and DEN (47 minutes).
I would have snagged one of these routings if not for the fact that I already committed to attending a Con in Atlanta with one of my friends.

I am trying to start this trip out of DEN, and i cannot get the routing to work at all. Is it not feasible? I tried to head DEN-SFO-ANC RT and then DEN-IAD-ANC RT
Any ideas on how to make this work?
