  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

Not according to AA.com and EF. All flights stop in ORD or DFW and change planes and flight numbers. The might have in the past, but AA service from SJC is not what it used to be. I still see routings from SAN that allow connecting in SJC, yet that flight hasn't existed for several years.

AA 1884. SJC-DFW-ATL. Can't see anything similar in the opposite direction but didn't look very hard.

You are correct. That's strange, EF doesn't show it as an option unless you specify direct and I looked on AA for today. The one day it doesn't fly is Saturday.

So is it bookable LAX-SJC-DFW-ATL or are we still talking hypothetical?

Well, the through flight leaves SJC early in the morning, before any LAX-SJC flights gets there. It is "bookable" but would require an overnight in SJC, and I don't think the fare allows a stopover so the price of the ticket would increase as it would split into LAX-SJC and SJC-ATL components. In realistic terms, LAX-ATL via SJC on AA is not possible under one fare.

ANC-PHL $1097RT on AA

Lima is still available from LAX and EWR and SEA and ANC for quite a bit cheaper in UA in Business (superior product in IMO). So if you don't need One World, there are savings.

I also found an ANC-PHL round trip scattered dates through August and Sept on AA using non-stop ANC-DFW. That's approx. 13,000 EQM on the round trip. $1097 RT AI.

That seems to be correct. Apologies for raising the hopes of any tier point hungry BAEC people.

Now if UA would match, so that we could re-qual on all 3x Star partners ....

I think that's what I wrote "approx." meaning not quite exactly, an approximation of EQM (which are elite qualification miles base plus F bonus--at least that's what I get for F when I credit AA to Alaska Air Mileage Plan. I know some partners only accrue 25% like AS' new partner AeroMexico).

In any event, I am too lazy to do all the work, but there are other fares tied to this non-stop DFW-ANC. I found relatively cheap F fares to Florida. $590 each way F , ANC-MIA. I even found ANC-LGA for $1090F on 9/20-9/28. Dates seem to be very spotty for that one.
