  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

Though i think this is not a very good deal - if interested I would not pick Mumbai but Delhi - a much better airport and much better flight times.
Typically not A just F, but I called Amex a few months ago and the JFK-DXB-BOM/DEL fares were in the same range with the only extra charge for the 2nd person being taxes. Also priced JFK-DXB-CPT and it came in around $18,000 RT for two, including a DXB stop-over.

Cheap (relatively) First Class Fares LAX-TYO in JAN2014 (many dates available):

AA - $4323 ai
NH - $4829 ai
UA - $4830 ai

I probably wouldn't pay this for AA or UA first, but this is a steal for NH first class, especially since this is their newest "First Square" seat product. ^^

Fare code for NH is: DFX43BUP -- this is a business class fare code, but it is booked into A class, which is first. This is a first class fare.

Happy hunting!

+1 on NH. Now if SQ matched, that'd really be a wow!

I didn't go in and check each date, but it looks like there is availability all through the rest of 2013 as well.

SAN-TYO is available for even less (USD3,658++). STL-TYO (USD4,388++) and DFW-TYO (USD4,414++) allows routing through ORD, IAD, and JFK.

This fare requires a 14-day advance purchase (tickets must be issued by April 24); minimum stay of 3 days, max stay of 12 months; cancellations are USD500 and changes are USD400 each time.

All-in prices are:

SAN: $4343
STL: $5073
DFW: $5099

SAN is a better deal. Routes through LAX/SFO.

Thanks! ^

Also available out of OSL. BKK can be routed through PEK both ways at a small extra cost (PEK-BKK-PEK on TG), but PEK is not allowed as a stopover.

AFAIK e-upgrades won't work from P class, only from Z class.

Availability from Spain for most of these routes tends to zero

where did you hear this? on LX, all business fare classes are upgradeable with both e-upgrades and miles (mileage upgrade on P and Z fares are subject to additional mileage surcharges).

Are you not confusing LX with LH? cos on LH, P and Z fares are not upgradeable with any instruments apart from cash AFAIK.

I stand corrected.
