  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

Flights booked into P for domestic legs and Z for TATL.

Not too bad for a total of 20,685 MQMs, and 34,475 miles/account!
Nice work. I got DFW-SLC-CDG-MAD-AMS-ORD-DTW-DFW on DL/AF/KL for $1662 ai.

That works out to $1662 / 19,863 MQM = 8.5 cpMQM

Thanks for the heads up on the MAD fares. I am about to pull the trigger on DFW-MAD. One question, the fare books into Z. On the .bomb site it shows that MQMs earned do not include the 50% class bonus. Is this a new condition of Z fare travel? Or is it another .bomb glitch? Thanks, Jer.

Edited to add that I found discussion of this issue here (sorry for the bother):

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...n-booking.html

Aaargh, between deciding to buy and going back to buy, fare seems to have jumped by 300 bucks from DFW. Now coming at 1931.

I'm such a wuss. I spent two hours this morning making sure I could do the dates and convincing myself I needed a european hiking vacation... and in the meantime, I'm out an extra 300 bucks. Sad, but still a great fare in Z

This morning (March 4) the $1810 ORD-MAD fares seem to have gone back up to +$3000. I was checking next January, so can't speak for other months.

I was checking with /alliance skyteam, so also can't speak for the others.

However, there are some ORD-BCN business class fares out there for just over $2000.

New to the forum but came across something this morning that might be a good deal???

July itinerary for PHX-CDG on US Air for $2400 BC (Envoy, I think is their name for it)

Delta's was $3,600 so I figured I'd throw this out here.

Yes, the MAD deals appear to be dead again. Glad I was able to get in for this latest round.

Is there anyway to tell when a fare sale ends by the fare rules? As far as I could tell, that information doesn't show up in EF or KVS. Or do the fares only end when the airlines decide to pull them?

You would need to read the fare rules. In the fare rules there is sth. written e.g.
TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/BEFORE 15MAR 13.

This is the latest date on, which you will be able to buy this fare, if it isn`t pulled before.

Still seeing lots of LAX - MAD availability. Prices have dropped a bit this morning: now $1716 - $1782 r/t a/i, depending on routing.

LAX-IAH-FRA-MAD is the longest routing I see: 7,496 each way.
