  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

I used MAA which is a bit cheaper and where my company has a shared services center worth visiting.

I booked on Expedia, which was still showing fares available but I doubt it gets ticketed... Actually it has just got!
Seems still available in 1S (ie Expedia) but pulled out from 1P/ 1G for unknown reason earlier than planned.

For those booking the MH deals - the deal expired at 23:59 02 Dec 2013 Malaysia Standard Time (GMT +8) - hence it expired earlier than usual for Europe/US based passengers.

I've played around on Matrix, AA, and Expedia, and can get an example itinerary of AMS-DFW//DFW-GRU//GRU-DFW//DFW-AMS for €2875. Substituting MIA/JFK brings it up just a touch more (in my searches), but still wondering if anyone has some hints/tips on getting that final €500 off.

Any thoughts?
I've booked a few weeks ago AMS-LHR-JFK / openjaw / DFW-GRU / GRU-DFW-LHR-AMS for 2800 USD or ~2068 EUR

to get what I wanted I had to book online what AA sugested, then call and change the routing, they can force the fare if the routing is valid.

fyi I think a few days ago AA increased this I fare for ~500 USD

Most of the MH fares have been re-published at the same or similar rates and now must be issued between 03 DEC 2013 and 13 DEC 13.

Cannot confirm this info - checked some routes and did not find same fares - do you have an example?

Sorry, should have been more precise. Most of the ex-USA MH fares have been republished. e.g. LAX-BKK for $2800 roundtrip.

+1

This by the ever-estimable CokeandTaco deserves a bump.

Routings SFO-JFK-MIA-MDE then back MDE-MIA-ORD-SFO will accrue 9495 actual BIS mi, for ALL First/Business travel, at 6.8 cpm -- less than I've paid for many seats in deep disc economy over the years!

Caution: an overnight in MDE seems unavoidable. Plan/budget accordingly.

1 of these on a Status Challenge, and you're Plat. Fly 7, and you're 300 EQPs short of EXP.

Which you may not fully enjoy if US Customs has "marked" you as a narco-trafficker.

I'll add that CokeandTaco himself (or herself) deserves props for routinely sharing some wonderful finds on both economy and premium cabin routes. I personally booked one of the BOG options (SFO-ORD-MIA-BOG-MIA-SFO) in Biz/First for $745 (8641 bis miles or 8.6cpm before bonuses)--this one even includes a LAN widebody segment. I rarely do pure MR's, so will check out BOG for a couple days. Anyone with dining/nice hotel/must-see advice, I'm all ears.

Anyway, many thx again to CokeandTaco for this deal and all the other contributions to FT.
