  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

I would call AA or a better still, a good TA.
+1. I had issues with AA.com pricing out a multi-city itinerary, so I called AA and their int'l ticketing desk booked it for me. The AAngels even praise them for the work they do. ^

If you do an open-jaw and return to LAX the fare looks to work on ITA for your dates, or for a little more ($2200ai) you can connect DFW-LAX-SFO on the return....

I personally believe that it is a "best practice" (and a courtesy to the wider FT community) to never call about fare/deals posted on FT....But to each their own....

P fare on UA... On your way back you can even fly the Dreamliner IAH-DEN.

03/02/2014-03/06/2014 (but other dates are available as well).

14,595 PQM, $1,621... 11CPM!
Fare basis code is QNN4R9LS, which seems fishy to me as a true business class fare.

See P Fares on BF Marketed Segments.

It looks to be a X-UP fare. I don't know if the OP of that thread ever got his 1.5x bonus (he/she should since it was marked as a P fare) but I think it's better to hold off until we get some clarity from UA. Also, it looks like you need to purchase the tickets before Oct 29 from what I'm seeing.

Sales restrictions
TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/BEFORE 29OCT 13.

I flew the SFO-IAH-LIM-EWR-SFO route last month and did get the 1.5x bonus but I don't remember the exact fare basis. Nevertheless, it's a good deal if you're not looking for the bonus.

Be careful to check the fare codes on SV if crediting to DL, as not all business fares credit!

Ended up booking SFO-DFW-LIM-DFW-SFO for $1,574 in A, I. I was able to book a same day return. Land at 1am depart at 2:30am. This plus an early flight in the week will give me enough for my Platinum challenge.

Doesn't this look like a mistake fare? Never seen J fares this low for South America.
