  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

HNL - LAX - MIA - BDA

Prices out at $632 and books into A for HNL - LAX and LAX - MIA and then into I for MIA - BDA

The actual fare code is:

LNE0C0V1

I am assuming that even though the fare code shows L that since it is booking into A and I, it will earn 1.5 EQP. If that's the case the earnings from this are ~8800 so ~7.1 EQM which isn't bad since that's all EQPs and you'll be riding in F the whole way. Just requires a positioning flight to HNL (which I realize is a big burden, I'll likely burn miles on UA for it) and a short hop back to DC in my case from BDA. Looks to be a mistake as everything else on that route is pricing to 2200
One-way? Hawaii to Caribbean and Central America usually go for ~$1,100 round-trip.

In F? Didn't know that, even so as a near end of year fare with EQPs being earned at a 7 CPP clip seems like a worth fare. This fare is also available as RT pricing at $1300 though it appears to be dead for the most part now as the second two legs are booking into D or J now upping the price significantly.

Yeah, Hawaii-Caribbean flights in AA F are a pretty well known trick for those who need miles and prefer to earn them in comfort. In particular, they are invaluable for BA flyers; you can get nearly 2/3 of the tier points required for Gold in a weekend.

AA TP runs are handy for BA flyers, but it's still one hell of a run to do in a weekend, particularly if you're book ending it with TATL flights. Certainly not for me, but others place a different value on status, I guess.

Sale on ex-cai fares reappears on QR. EY also has good prices, little higher.
The prices are not so good as 4 months ago and now they book in A(First)/I(Business) classes, not A/D.
Unless something changed now with OW, I think I class is with less QMiles.

sale ends 13/10, valid for travel up to 18/12.

I'm seeing $1041 on QR CAI-BKK return (biz), EY slightly higher. Not too shabby.

Could you share an example? The best I've found on AA was about $1350

Look at SAL and TGU. They are closer to $1100 than $1300 on the dates I have checked, but primarily on UA. It is really nice when the connection through IAD or EWR is available.

If you want AA, try MGA. I was looking Nov/Dec and was around $1166 though for another $20-50 you could route through IAD/LGA, depending on availability.
