- Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
- Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
- Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
- Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
- Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
- The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
- Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

I don't see a reference to MPM in the fare rules on EF. I could be looking in the wrong place or don't understand the rules well enough to figure it out though.
The first itin I attempted had the same routing and DL.com gave me the same price until I tried to book and it changed the fare to $3800. I called and an agent quoted me the higher fare as well. DL.com is notorious for this sort of tease.
I initially assumed that it must be due to an MPM rule, but it's not the case because I eventually found the lower pricing on the same routing, except this time with a 35 minute cxn in MSP as opposed to a safe 2 hour cxn with the higher priced routing. Fare classes were the same so I have no idea why they priced differently.
The routing rules from EF are listed below. I don't know exactly how to interpret them. But it does look like a transfer in SCL is possible. I have an overnight in LAX scheduled.
1. SFO-DL/AS-LAX-SLC-NYC/DEN/CVG/CHI-DTT-ATL-SCL-DL/AR/AF/AC-

So if I'm reading the connection rules right, then a dash means that you can visit all of those places in the stated order, but you can also skip any stop. For stops separated by a slash, you can visit any one of them on a particular leg.
There is actually less flexibility on the outbound than you might think. Despite the late departure, you have the time zones working against you coming from the west coast to ATL. The options are limited, unless you want to overnight somewhere or double red-eye (not me!).
There's actually a lot more room to maneuver on the way back because of the 6AM arrival in ATL and you have the time zones working in your favor.
Also, ATL>SCL>AEP only adds 80 MQMs over ATL>EZE because of the reduced earnings on AR. So adding SCL wouldn't be worth it other than to have the additional stop. And I haven't been able to add a stopover in SCL and keep the pricing.

Just booked LHR-DXB-BOM-DXB-LHR on EK for £1650 in Business.
Added a stop in DXB on the return for a few days.
Upgraded the LHR-DXB and DXB-LHR legs to F with miles, so a very cheap way to fly F on the EK A380.

DL: SFO-EZE ~$2600ai
After a lot of tinkering, I think I have finally settled on
SFO-JFK-ATL-EZE-ATL-DTW-SFO
That's 24,209 MQM/EQM for $2627ai = 10.9cpm
This was the optimal solution for me in terms of earnings and schedule. There were other possibilities with more MQM earning potential but this just works out better.

Not a super deal for miles alone, but since I promised my wife a trip to IPC I've been watching the LA and AA fares to IPC from a number of starting points.
SEA-IPC starts at $2,397.30 a/i, fare basis is ILE5MDQ1 book by end of Sept.
7 day min & no stopovers permitted in Chile or Peru though, so I guess best you get is 24 hours on either side of the journey to/from IPC in those cities if you want. But does allow stopovers in US (which can be used to lessen the 7 day stay because the 7 days is from "departure from fare origin") and I was able to find some creative routings thru the east coast that yield about 20k miles.
There is still a sub $1500 ex-MEX fare to IPC that seems to allow stops in LIM/SCL, but requires getting to MEX.
