  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

Look at the fare rules and determine if open jaw/EoE is allowed.
It may not be in business class but you may force a fare split on something like this

$1417 AI RT on DL, booking into Z. About $850 or so is fuel. The return leg can be from other destinations:

LIS $1448
BCN $1514
MAD $1519
BSL $1537
GVA $1539
BRU $1544
Look, I don't care about the Thanksgiving fares. I'm just pointing out that the fare steveholt posted is an open-jaw that avoids the UK APD.
JFK-LHR-JFK is ~$1,615 while JFK-LHR//DUB-JFK is ~$1,415. APD is $210.

If you can get to DUB for less than $200 or have a reason to go to DUB (or the other cities) then it makes sense.

How do you book different classes on the same trip?

Thanks!

DPS-LHR on Malaysian

First post here, and alas I suspect this deal may be too late to be useful. Throwing it out there in case someone can find available dates better than I.

Bookable on malaysiaairlines.com: Sept 22nd DPS-LHR in business class (ZBTOWID) for ~$1430 (A380).

Could not find a return in the same promo sale inventory, looks like it would price out at about $2600 return if I could . Bali from Europe is generally expensive so would be keen on that in either direction since I'm basing myself here for a few months.

Malaysia Airlines have a one day sale announced for economy fares, I guess this is related. Might be other city pairs on sale.

Aha, return must be within 1 month but there's availability in both directions further out. E.g. DPS-LHR on Oct 17th, LHR-DPS on Oct 29th. No min stay (22nd/23rd Oct also work).

Prices at more like $2750. Alas it's over $4k in reverse.

It's not. QR uses "economy" and "first" to describe the classes on its 2 class aircraft.

Fair point. Will be interesting to see if BA class QR F on those narrowbody planes as 60TP routes.

I know this isn't an issue for QR, but is there an OTA that lets you do this on a multi-leg trip?

Different airlines have different rules. You can book multi class itineraries on the EK website, for example.

Otherwise a TA can help you.
