- Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
- Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
- Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
- Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
- Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
- The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
- Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

Thank you for posting this. I have been waiting forever for a good fare to TGU, especially glad it is in biz. Might end up booking this on UA since AA doesn't give the bonus credit for J/F on the EQMs, just the EQPs.

Yes. It's not really set up for same-day turnarounds or even connections, but I was able to talk my way past immigration without paying the tourist fee by showing them my connecting itin. I had been on IAH-SJO, but got bumped to IAH-TGU on UA, TGU-SJO on CM.

I've never done a same day turn to TGU, since it's home. But, I'm sure you can make it work.
When you exit the jetbridge or walk in from the ramp (if your flight uses air stairs). The short hall takes you directly to the immigration hall. The departure/gate waiting area is blocked by glass doors. I'm not sure they'll allow you to walk to the gate area, unless you can talk your way in. Your best bet is an airline rep in this case.
If you do end up having to go through immigration, the process can be painfully slow at times. The lines get long fairly quickly as AA, DL, TA, CM, and UA all have international flights that arrive around the same time (or at the same time if any of them runs behind schedule). Once you clear immigration, customs will be a breeze since you wont be checking any bags. You then exit right to the check-in area. If you "enter" Honduras you may be required to pay the exit airport tax which is about $35. This will require for you to stop by the Banco La Fise window to get your tax receipt. Otherwise, security and immigration upstairs may not let you proceed to the gate.
Keep in mind that if your flight is running behind schedule, you will miss your return flight. There will be a pack of cleaners waiting on the ground, that will jump in and leave your 737/757 squeaky clean in less then 15 minutes. They'll start boarding right after that. They don't have to wait for catering or any other servicing. UA is the only airline that gets catered in TGU. All the other carriers are double catered from their hub.
If anyone has any questions, or need more info on TGU let me know.

Can't get it to price on my phone, though. Keep getting an error message.

...but no, I've priced up DUS-ADL in First in January for €4603, and HAM-ADL in Business in Jan for €2997!
