UA/AA: NYC-HNL ~$435 ai RT (Jan 2013; Tons of Dates; AA match)
This is my first post in the MR forum, so hopefully it's a decent one...
Sub $500 flights for all of January. Varies between JFK, LGA & EWR depending on dates.
I've been looking for flights to Hawaii in January and just tonight there are some great ones showing up in ITA. I got an email from Hawaiian advertising great deals from JFK-HNL and shortly after United started matching the prices (even though HA isn't showing the low prices on ITA, just on their own website).
I personally booked flights on HA because I have a 25% off coupon for having the credit card, but I understand that most people don't want to MR on Hawaiian.
But, United has tons of days available in January. I didn't expand the search past what I'm looking for, but it's under $500 for the entire month of January on UA. I'm guessing that it covers more dates than just January, but that's what I was looking for when I found them.

Good post, keep it up.
While some may say this is not the best ever to HNL, still a very decent fare these days. I did a $400 HNL MR 2-3 years ago and at the time was pleased to get the price.
For those looking for end of the year PQM there is no more pleasant place to visit, even if it is just for a day at the beach. I see Dec 4, 5 (might be other dates) one day turn arounds.
Or, Jan 2013, a great way to get you new year PQMs off to a good start

Thanks OP, I booked one in Feb, got it down to 4.4cpm LGA-IAH-SFO-HNL, not the greatest, but I figure I can get 10,000 EQM out of the way early in the year. (Plus now that RPU/GPU are good through Jan the following year, who cares when I make 1K)

no stays in HNL? I think the HNL-EWR flight leaves around 9:30 or so Hawaii time. Does one need to exit and reclear security in HNL or can you just stay inside security?

If you are still taking classes, you are young, but still

Then again, recall a certain UA mod doing back to back flights to Oz

I'm on board
actually I need 24k to return to UAPlat so 1st doin EWR-IST (10,020) this weekend, come back Mon & hop on the 5:30AM LGA-HNL via IAH Tue (10,300). The wife comin along only permits the insanity if she can get a few days out of places and no repeats. Still will need a one day NYC-SF ($360...5,500) area a few daze later.
