UA: EWR-IST $638 ai round trip (everything included). [W fare $938 ai]

Just booked this -- first ever trip to Europe. Route still needs gov't approval.

8/28: UA 904 763
9/4: UA 905 763

Total was $638 with all taxes and fees included. Highly recommended to all. Get it while you can.

Not a bad price, but not ridiculous, given the fare from DCA up to EWR then on to iST on the same dates is only US$602, all-in.

And enjoy Istanbul, it's a great place!!!

Finally, if you haven't ever been to Asia, you can make it your first trip to Europe and 'Asia' on the same trip by taking a ferry across the Bosphorus!

Sounds like the end of the summer fare and the beginning of the shoulder season fares...but one quick check of the fare rules should ensure that.

Just as an aside, I wouldn't be concerned about the "government approval" language. That's standard boilerplate for a new international flight.

wow... this route must be suffering from extremely low sales.... not surprising since TK offers a FAR superior product from JFK.

These book into L class
From IAH: LKXNC1N
base OW $179.00
YQ $496.00
Total $939.40
looks to be about 7.3cpm

From EWR: same fare code
base OW: $156.50
YQ $252.00
$637.90

Shucks that they're adding $300 for the IAH-EWR add on...
FYI SFO is 980, so this seems to be good from quite a few hubs on the same code but slightly different pricing

Anyone know how to book this oneway?
I am looking to return to DTW on miles, but want to burn a voucher on my way there.

Step 1: find a one way fare
Step 2: book it

FYI:
Carrier UA LKXNC1N EWR to IST (rules)
Passenger type ADT, round trip fare, booking code L
Covers EWR-IST (Economy)
