Aeroflot holds best direct flight between Russia and USA, except obe SQ flight Moscow-Houston ofc :-)
Good food, modern clean aircraft and AVOD system avialible. Much better then deltas 767 on the same route.

OH PLEASE

I flew LAX-SVO-LHR, and DEL-SVO-NRT on SU in 2009.

Excellent new A330s at the time. Food was superb, the FAs hot. The SVO-LHR flight was not classic $hitty european pseudo business but real business class. Fantastic service and AVOD all around

I connected to a Delta flight NRT-LAX, which after the SU flights was like riding in a broken down chevy

Only problem on SU was that when I asked for a vodka on ice, I got a cup full of vodka with two icecubes floating in it.

Cold war is over. I flew JFK-SVO(DL)-DEL(SU). SU was pretty good, if you are not on IL-76. Their meal service is very good. I would not hesitate to fly SU.

That would be quite hard to achieve, given that the IL-76 is a freigher...

Ditto.
Except that the 75% mileage earning rate makes MRs on them all but impossible...

I am glad someone is paying attention. I meant Il-96.

That's why I am not going for it.

Wirelessly posted (BB Curve: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; T-Mobile G2 Build/GRJ22) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Having flown SU via LAX SVO DEL I can say their aircraft was perfectly fine, service was superb, meals were as nice as any other international carrier, and the aircraft (767) was no different. The business class seat was comparable to AF or LH. No complaints at all, and some of the female FA's were quite visually appealing.

Only problem can be with russians who like to drink a lot on board. They can be quite noisy.

Very nice find. Unfortunately only 75% to Delta SM for L class.
5.3cpm with the 75% conversion. Too much time for so few miles.

You guys really ought to give Aeroflot a try before trashing it.

I have flown Aeroflot three times and had three tremendous flights.

Aeroflot is my favorite member of SkyTeam...

I flew Aeroflot a few days ago between SVO and LED and found the experience to be pleasant and the flight attendants more professional than you find on a typical short-haul flight within the US.
