For me, it's the opposite. when traveling very long-haul coach, the connections allow me to use lounges to hv showers and better meals.

Agree with GraceC - most people prefer connections to take some breaks between flights...also helps get your segments up so you have options for hitting status in different ways!

Please note that some of the cheapest EK fares don't qualify even for 50% AS accrual. A friend found out the hard way...

UA/DL: LAN-LAS for $240 AI, many dates in Jan - Mar, perhaps others. On UA, can be routed through IAD, SFO, or LAX to boost the miles. Very good price from Lansing.

Interesting find. Can also be routed through ORD. Wish I had an opportunity to use this from LAS.

I think that was taken as a given - it must be routed through ORD as UA's only service to LAN is from ORD.

Yes, I just found a cheap fare. Because the summer time is getting more expensive. Instead, I will able fly to EU in March.
