SAA having 72 hour sale IAD/JFK to JNB for $860 for travel before 11/30. Also seeing IAD to CPT for around $890. Not great, but not bad.

edit: Economy Class Fare G - what does this mean for earning miles on partner airlines?
edit again: looks like its 50% miles...not such a great deal at all then

still a good deal if you need to get there, IMO good deals are based on the route, not necessarily on the mileage earning -- thats what the true MR deals are for. others opinions may differ.

BOS-NYC $120rt
Not MR worthy, but I'm seeing $120rt flights from NYC-BOS on US/DL/AA. Includes Thanksgiving weekend! ^
If you travel before 10/31, you can get triple PQM on US by combining the Shuttle promotion and MasterCard promotion.

120 for that route (NYC - BOS) is pretty standard, not really quite a good deal.
DL: NYC - DEN $214 valid throughout ski season. Great weekend fare.

AC: LHR-MCO Aug 2013 420 / $685 indirect
Aimed at UK FTers with children
With direct flights coming in at over 800 I thought this was a great deal especially as flying direct from London and into Orlando. Routings are indirect, you stop off in a US gateway on both legs, but for just over 400 in school holiday time this won't be around for long.
You can actually buy cheaper using a Travel Agent with the possibility of cashback too. Check on www.fly.com
Sample dates 12/8 - 29/8

I see it on Air Canada for $685/427 on those dates, only routing in that range is LHR-YYZ-MCO. Comes out to around 7.5cpm. Probably a good deal, but certainly not MR quality.

Maybe not a great fare for the winter, but NYC-TXL (about 8.3k miles) for $676 on Delta. Seems to work for weekends from Jan-Mar.

I did one long weekend in Sept. and have another one coming up in Jan. using $200 eCerts. Chance to see what's left of The Wall and eat a schnitzel or two. The flights are moving to BER (Berlin Brandenburg Airport) a brand new airport -- the move was already delayed once.
