The sale might be around until 9/24, but it doesn't mean the prices will be. If all the P inventory is sold, the prices will creep up.

Agreed, but when only J and C is left I would not call it a sale.

The itinerary I priced out on Swiss.com was all on LX metal. When I got to the payment screen it was showing the $2389, so something changed shortly after I posted on FT.

I didn't actually buy the ticket since I am already traveling in that timeframe.

But when I try to book it on the LX website, the price jumps and is adjusted to $4116.
$4,116 is still an incredible price for LX in F. Have their F TATL prices ever been this low before?

Sure would be incredible to be able to ticket it for $1,877 however!

Sample dates/routings? I'm not seeing any fare even close to that.

Neither am I any more. $4,440 AI on Cheaptix. JFK-FRA at T-giving.
Swear to god it was there this morning.
Had to leave for an 8AM EST meeting so I couldn't follow up. Now it's gonzo.

Bad deal unless you can go just one-way westbound for half the price. $2,200 for an abbreviated sleep in dry air with no thermostat control is not a good value.

Book by July 16th, travel by September 2nd

(But Aer Lingus via Dublin is still working out cheaper...)

Not sure if this is covered already, but I'm seeing $2100-$2400/rt/ai depending on destination and routing for lots of DL-coded ex-NYC departures around US Labor Day (3 Sep) if you include a Saturday night stay. Available for (at least) AMS, BRU, CDG, FRA on a variety of equipment (including flat-bed equipped DL 763 and 764s, the AF A380, and the KL 74M even showed up on one routing IIRC).

I ended up with $2400 for NYC-CDG-AMS/FRA-CDG-NYC 9/2 - 9/9 (also 9/1 - 9/8), but NYC-AMS/rt on the same dates was closer to $2100.

I think that Labor Day Weekend is still part of the summer sale.

That's about normal for Thanksgiving based on the last few years. Still a good fare of course. Usually only valid ex-US.

Also, LH had ~$2,500 r/t F fares to Europe last year around the same time (and/or Xmas/New Years). Came thisclose to booking... I wouldn't be surprised to see it repeated, and LX included.
