Just FYI, HNL works in place of ANC, results in nearly 3k more miles and it prices out at $2,730.22 on ITA.

Hmm, can't get this to price anywhere under $9k. Is this gone or do you have to book elsewhere vs AC?

Replace SFO with HNL, force some EU connections and you start to get some very interesting CPMs. I'm seeing as low as 8.9 CPM for 31K (base) on ITA. Booking OTOH could be difficult.

Can you summarize or send a pointer to the rules for the sale. I think it's ticket by July 3 and travel by ? What's the advance purchase?

If there's an ad or sale page, a link to that is fine

Essentially 13619 EQM with the 150% bonus, 10.55 c/mile

Since AC doesnt have Business, Im guessing all these will book in executive class (flat beds over the atlantic ??)
Just to expand on this... I have found SFO-YVR-LHR-YVR for $1,393 ai. You can expand this to SFO-YVR-YYZ-LHR-YYZ-YVR for $1401 ai. For about $1,450 you can fly SFO-YVR-LHR-SFO-YVR with the LHR-SFO-YVR on UA. This way you can drop the last leg and stop in SFO.

As others have said, lots of options.

The $1401 ai fare is 18,123 EQM with the 50% bonus, so a respectable 7.7 cpm business fare.

As a general reference, what websites do FT members recommend for actually booking the good deal premium fares?

I find it easiest to just do it on United.com or AA.com (haven't done MRs on other airlines). If it's a mixed itin you most likely need another site - i.e. if you mix Alliances.

CMB comes back again...

The below is in F.

1. CMB-JNB round-trip

The fare on EK is ~2500 USD round-trip, which is good in itself.

But I noticed that the YY FRT fare comes out to ~1500 USD round-trip. For some reason ITA doesn't show CMB-DXB in F () but the rest works out into F. Perhaps through a Travel Agent you could get it all in F? Orbitz shows this one no problems, unlimited stopovers.

2. CMB-SEZ round-trip

Another great YY fare for ~970 USD round-trip (in F). Once again faced with the same problem of CMB-DXB. Unlimited stopovers.

3. CMB-MRU round-trip

Not as good as above, but EK's F fare is ~1820 USD round-trip in F. The same applies for the YY fare which is slightly lower.

------

Now, not CMB fares.

CAI-AUH-JNB in J, very similar fare to the CAI-BKK fare. ~1350 USD on EY.

---

Generally, CMB-Africa is quite low - under 3000 USD, so that's something to keep in mind.
