Sample date for SEA-MNL dep. Mar 29 - Apr.2 $682 a.i.
Seeing fares available Feb,March,April
Bookable on Vayama and a few other sites.

I've tried to book this flight, not coming up. If it is a "trick" then it is in the wrong thread.

Update: Not a trick, bookable on CO.

AA_EXP09 Dec 17, 2011 8:09 am

Still alive.
SEA UA X/LAX UA X/HNL UA X/GUM UA X/TYO NH MNL v.v is the routing.
This books in K class.
I also found SEA UA X/LAX NH X/TYO NH MNL
(The one above requires change of airports from HND to NRT.....)

RobOnLI Dec 17, 2011 10:22 am

Remember that those NH flights will only earn 70% EQM on CO & UA.

-RM

howto Dec 17, 2011 10:27 am

I can't find it by search sea-mnl 3/29-4/2 on vayama
kayak says orbitz has the fare, but when I click it
orbitz says fare changed to 1000+
ita still has the fare, but could it be a phantom fare

could you please share where/how you are able to see and book it?

Thanks

Since April it should be 100% mileage accrual on NH. I've successfully gotten full mileage plus elite bonus on a K fare NRT-SGN since those rules came into effect. CO's website may still show 70% as you make the reservation, but that is a bug and there should be nothing to worry about.

This is bookable on co.com.....plug in those dates and the fare should come up.

AA_EXP09 Dec 17, 2011 12:09 pm

Also bookable with a TA.

Same here flew -K- on NH SFO-NRT on Nov 24th, less than a month ago, and received 100% mileage.

Not available

I searched for the fare on Kayak and according to Kayak it was available for $696 including taxes on Orbitz, ANA's site, and Cheaptickets.com.

When you click on the link to ANA's site it gives an error message: "Cannot display booking at this time."

Orbitz displays the flight options and the fare but when you click to book one it displays: "We're sorry, due to changes in availability, we're unable to confirm your selection with the airline. Please make another selection."

Cheaptickets.com also shows the flights options and $696 fare but when you try and book it the error: "We're sorry, the fare for that itinerary is no longer available. The fare for that trip is now $1,061.70" comes up.

Unfortunately ANA appears to have caught on to the fare error and corrected it. To bad they caught it before I could book it. :(

Better luck next time! :D

What dates and routes were available on CO?

curtisturner Dec 18, 2011 9:02 am

I see the deal on CO.com and get all the way to the end and
" !We're sorry but continential was unable to complete...."
I have tried several of the date and different time lines and no one so far has charged my card.
So my guess is it is gone.

FYI I tried:
March 20th, 21st
March 27th, 28th 29th

On the 27th it offered HNL and GUM and was UA/CO the whole way there.
The Nippon flight on the way home is where I thinnk it stopped me.

CO must have been the last site to catch on, I managed to get it booked last night for 3/29 to 4/3. My ticket is CO on the SEA-SFO-NRT legs, then ANA (70% EQM because of fare class) from NRT-MNL-NRT then back to CO for NRT-LAX-SEA.

Thanks Raffles for another fine posting! Booked gf and I on Big O using mutli city search for early March, SEA-NRT-GUM-MNL-NRT-LAX-SEA with 1 day in Guam and 4 days in Manila.

AA_EXP09 Dec 18, 2011 2:24 pm

The fare is still alive. The availability is very little, however.

nova08 Dec 18, 2011 4:05 pm

Just a heads up to try other cities. I found availabilty out of EWR for $944 ai for EWR-SFO-HNL-GUM-MNL-GUM-HNL-EWR. ~20,700 EQM's

kyunbit Dec 18, 2011 11:34 pm

What dates are you seeing on AA? I cannot find anything coming up for those prices, only UA. Does AA allow out of other cities, e.g. NYC?

pNoytrav Dec 19, 2011 12:20 pm

Out from BOS-ORD-NRT-MNL-NRT-EWR-BOS around $826 AI
good chance to visit the Underground River in Palawan Island^

Thanks OP

Is this fare gone? I have tried several dates around the end of March and don't come up with anything less than around 2000. What city combinations are you plugging in (i.e.EWR-HNL or HNL-MNL) and are you doing this as a pure MR with immediate turnaround?

Advice please from anyone?

I've seen fares in the 11-$1200 range but this was a couple of days ago. I was using ORD, GRR, SFO, EWR and getting similar results.

skylane Dec 20, 2011 11:59 am

According to the fare rules, you had to purchase by Dec 19.

still avail per ITA

SFO-HNL-GUM-MNL-NRT-SFO - 27JAN-9FEB - $825ai on ITA

It looks like the fares have gone up a bit, probably because we are at Thursday and they tend to rise as the week goes on.

If you don't use ITA then use CO.com "My dates are flexible" and enter a start date and length of stay. The search returns a calendar format with the price of the ticket each day (30 days out from your start date). It is easier to see which are the cheaper days to fly rather than just guess by inserting specific dates.

I just did EWR-MNL with a start date of 3/1/2011 and a length of 4 days. Trying to force the connections with a multi city search can get tricky.

In case anyone wants to fly on the famous island hopper, I got LAX-SFO-HNL-MAJ-KWA-KSA-PNI-TKK-GUM-MNL-ROR-GUM-NRT-LAX booked for the same prices quoted above. I couldn't get the island hopper from any other the other origins however.

Yay to being able to cross Marshall Islands, Micronesia, and Palau off the list of visited countries. :p

I tried to follow instructions in other threads to force CO.com to include the island hopper, but wasn't able to get it to price anything reasonable in the fare. Is there some method I've missed?

As an aside, one can get SFO-MNL for $734 a/i which is 4.6 cpm. Not ideal for a MR, but pretty good for a flight to Manila...then again with all the flooding, it may not be the ideal time to visit.
