That's about 8 cents per mile, not really a good mileage run at all. It may be good for someone looking to go there, but they could certainly get more status miles by flying SFO-ORD twice for about $800 and get almost 15K EQM.

Not just UA/CO, also DL, AC! You can route LAX-YVR-LHR and back with AC.

If you can find me two round trips this weekend from SFO/LAX to ORD for under 800 total in a qualifying class- I'd love to see it. I'll cancel this and do it I literally worked that angle all day yesterday. I can only travel this weekend or next or or 12/27 through 12/30.

Cart - I agree - and had I known I was going to fall short this far I would have started doing this in advance and been able to get better deals. Had a couple of international trips fall through (had to move vacation domestic because of client demands)

I was merely trying to help those out in the same boat as me

Thanks for the poster that suggested Souel and Sydney. I looked at those and then threw London in there just for fun. I've learned alot in the last couple days

Surely the metrics change a bit when people are desperate at the end of the year, no? Seems like a good deal to me considering the small window left.

Interesting rates to AMS/BRU/FRA are also available this weeks (800/900).

For the record, I got the same ticket for $808.

And I agreed that it is not even a MR and not a cheap deal.

What sort of idiot would do that???

Oh. Right. That would be me.

SFO-LHR just sounds so much more fun that Sunday night/Monday morning SFO-ORD turns. And now that they've switched to dishwasher coffee...

And, to think earlier this year, SAN-BOS was $10 each way......
