Fare error? AA: CRP-DFW-LHR-OTP $124+ one way? (Merged threads)
I was looking at this about 5 minutes ago on AA.com:
Average Departure Fare $124.00
Average Return Fare $563.00
Departure Fare
Adult $124.00
Return Fare
Adult $563.00
AAdvantage® Benefits
Preferred Seats $0.00
PriorityAAccessSM $0.00
Taxes & Fees
Adult $161.70
Price and Tax Information
Flight Subtotal
$848.70
AA 3342 - AA 50 - AA 6374 outbound
AA 6358 - AA 79 - AA 2774 return
I ticketed it and used EVIPs that cleared on the spot. Same itinerary on Orbitz or Expedia prices at ~$1400. It is possible that the fuel surcharge is not included?

Is this available as a OW? If not, this is hardly a stellar fare since you're over $800 for the RT.

Yup, and they're pulling it now.
"The flight(s) or fare selected is no longer available. Please modify your request."
Initially, I was able to get through to booking, but thought I'd press my luck looking for a cheaper return. Dang. This was SFO-LAX-LHR and return, $193 out, $500 back.

Parsing this fare over at ITA, looks likely the fare was loaded w/o anything on top of the $123.50 base.
I'm sure the tricksters will still be able to have some fun with this. Base fare e/w as noted, AA YQ is $440.

Still there. Cheap to Europe, expensive back. The total is higher than what UA or someothers are charging for a RT.
No good deal unless you are coming back by boat.

I'm thinking it's something with AA's site, noticed similar earlier with all origins to LHR and return (checked BOS, JFK, LAX). Cheap to go, expensive to return. When attempting to book simply a one way its $900+. May be related to adding in Premium Economy on the website?

In the time that this deal has been posted here, not one person has reported being able to successfully book a OW flight on the fare.
As a OW? Or a RT? If the latter, these fares are lousy deals on a RT basis. $600-$850 AI RT.

It doesn't appear to be bookable as a one way, or are we missing something? The only other possibility I could think of would be booking the rt followed by a 1 way award then calling back to change the original rt to a 1 way....but I feel like that would a.)raise red flags b.)not even be possible
