How to get from ATL to DTW
So, my first attempt at an mr. I have to start out and return to the ATL which is twice the cost and only a quarter of the miles for that segment. I tried TOL, LAN and FHN, but all are twice the cost of the described mr begining and ending at DTW. Anyone have any knowledge or experience on routes in and out of ATL? Thanks

Try farecompare.com/Flyertalk. Input atl as your city, then filter for skyteam. You can sort on cpm or cost of trip. Atl is a challenge as its the hub. It's a good suggestion to position yourself somewhere else on a cheap flight (perhaps rdu or clt or bna?) then buy a reasonably priced high mqm ticket from there.
On iPhone now so can't look up fare.compare, but I seem to think that bna sea is usually a decently priced flight. (sometimes as low as 220) I don't know how much it costs to get to bna though!

Also, under "Mileage Run Discussion" sub-forum there are two links for mileage run tools. I know the information is here because I just learned how MR works over the last few weeks. I'm not an old expert at it... just a new kid who read things like the FAQ and the forums. That link above will give you a good start. Note that there is a second part to this blog post that you may have to hunt for.
