DL: MIA-SJU (via jfk/atl or dtw/atl) $208ai, 6,683 miles, 3.1cpm

Needs an overnight stay in SJU to maximize the miles.

To be clear, do you mean JFK-ATL-MIA-SJU-MIA-ATL-JFK? That's only 4800mi though...

And what are the dates you're seeing?

Thanks!

mia-(via jfk or atl, or dtw/jfk and atl)-sju-(via jfk or atl, or dtw/jfk and atl)-mia

the $208 is available most days between 9/21 and 12/13 except for the middle part of November; have to hunt around for the right days to maximize mileage, but not too hard to find back to back dates that give you the 6.683 miles for $208ai.

Holy Cow!!! What am I doing wrong? This offer is still there but when I add getting to/from MIA from MSY, then the cost jumps from $208 to almost $600. Boooooo.

MIA-JFK-ATL-SJU-ATL-JFK-MIA = 6792 miles, the dates I used were Nov.6-Nov.9 since I prefer to spend some time in San Juan. Maybe it has to be a pure run, or maybe the offer is not good if you tack on MSY.

P.S. I now see part of the problem, it has switched me from MIA-JFK-ATL-SJU-JFK-MIA to a routing through MEM which is not included in the sales price, obviously. Will putter a bit more and report back if I get a good run from New Orleans.

Often these fares are valid only to/from specific cities (such as MIA) and you will have to get yourself there via some other means to take advantage of them.

This also prices out of SAN (12/4-12/7) with SAN-LAX-JFK-SJU-JFK-SLC-SAN for $438.60 and 4.99cpm. Kinda almost worth it, especially if one is looking for a short vacation.

Sigh. You are probably right that the deal is for Florida cities like MIA and TPA...I had to stop banging my head after awhile. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow but I'm probably just wheel-spinning here.
