Other east coast cities are available too. This is one of those cases where it is critical for you to play around with routings on ITA if you want to stretch this.

BWI is not WAS in airlines' dictionary.
Misleading.

That is a sample itinerary. It also works from DCA and IAD.

Not same fare (booking class/fare basis are different) and even fare is $10 more (each way).

Similar fares are almost always grouped together to avoid clutter. If you really think we need separate threads for DCA-CUN and IAD-CUN no one is stopping you from making them.

Point is how people read your post.

Thread title indicates WAS(DCA/IAD)-CUN at $340, which does not exist. $20 fare difference is minor fluctuation for you, I guess. It's not accurate anyway.

Wow, petty pedantic nonsense aside, this is a very good deal.

Gee, ten dollars is a huge difference. Please continue to unfairly criticize this fare information you've received for free.

WAS (BWI) - CUN for $340 does exist. If you don't think BWI is part of WAS check IATA.org.

Thanks for the post OP...

I wish some people would just grow up and not be so petty on such a fabulous deal.

^^

For those playing from home in NYC, the routing rules seem to mostly have tacked on NYC to the beginning:

Code:
/WITHIN THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE/
TRAVEL MUST NOT BE VIA DEN
 TRAVEL MUST NOT BE NONSTOP
DOM ROUTE VALIDATION APPLIES WITHIN ORIG/DEST COUNTRIES
 1. NYC-BOS-CUN
 2. NYC-PHL-WAS/BWI-RDU/GSO-CLT-CUN
 3. NYC-PHL-WAS/BWI-PIT-CLT-CUN
 4. NYC-PHL-WAS/BWI-RDU/GSO-CLT-CLT/CHI-DEN-PHX-LAS-CUN
 5. NYC-PHL-WAS/BWI-PIT-CLT/CHI-DEN-PHX-LAS-CUN
 6. NYC-PHL-WAS/BWI-RDU/GSO-CLT-CLT/CHI-DEN-LAS-PHX-CUN
 7. NYC-PHL-WAS/BWI-PIT-CLT/CHI-DEN-LAS-PHX-CUN

That's an awful long time to sit in a US seat.

As opposed to a UA, CO, DL or AA seat?
