Bookable through orbiz, wonder if they honor the reservation. Probably not.

I think this is another case of search engines confusing booking codes. Kayak pulls up the fare, but jumping to Orbitz or Cheaptickets pulls up an Economy fare, while jumping to MH's site makes the price jump to regular J levels.

Seeing how its not a mistake fare, how many people non-flyertalk readers do you suppose actually use this fare legitimately? Probably more than one or two... ex Philippines fares have been cheap for quite a while to cities where PR competes. Lots of people call airlines and travel agents to book these fares who have never even heard of Flyertalk.

NH has a MNL-SFO/LAX RT fare in non-upgradeable C for about USD3,000 AI. These routes will be operated with their new 77W with the staggered business seats starting on Dec 6 (SFO) and Jan 21 (LAX).

Well, there are only 5 international (Trans-pacific) gateways on the west coast of the 2 big North American countries, so not much imagination is needed.

Gateway furthest south is lowest, actually can be had just a bit lower than the SQ fare... but its not *A... good for OW. Another good one to the same place will be OW in the future.

Also a ST fare that is about equal to the SQ fare to the same northern city.

LAN is having a sale that winds up being $901 a/i from MIA to Quito or Guayaquil. Full flat bed, but it's only a 4 hourish flight. There are other destinations on sale, but Ecuador is the best deal.

Here's the link to their sale: http://www.lan.com/en_us/sitio_perso...business_EN_US

All right-y then! How about another GDPF to lighten the mood? Since we're all focused on Manila nowadays, another good option is Qatar Airways to Houston for around $3200 roundtrip (1-stop in Doha). Credit to BMI for 150% or UA for 125% (D class).

Thumbs up LON/DUB to BKK

Just booked DUB-FRA-BKK-VIE-LHR for 1319 all-in for early November -- LH on outbound and OS on the return. It books into Z, and I was able to add LHR-DUB for 39 on BD.

AI: HKG-KIX in F for ~USD1,300 AI, C for ~USD879 AI

I knew AI operated this route but their pricing in C and F is very attractive. The route is operating using one of AI's newer 77Ws. Here is a trip report in F with photos (HKG-KIX, KIX-HKG).

I noticed this as well, but it is funny that if you fly out of DOH to IAH, then the fare is $4-5k. Not sure why it is cheaper to fly out of MNL.
