Anything but a straight flight to HKG exceeds the MPM. You can fly any carrier from MNL-HKG.

Can someone tell me the right fare class? I am posting the fare rules here

You call, and yet you wonder why fares disappear?

While this may currently be the lowest C fare ex-MNL to North America, its not significantly cheaper than other carriers ex-Philippines to the west coast of Canada / USA, so I wouldn't panic too much in this case. The old NW and PR fares were much better, but I knew (and I'm certain several others did as well) full well that those would be gone shortly after the DL merger was finalized.

Yea, but what you don't seem to get is that you didn't really find anything, this fare has been around for years and many of us have used it. However you calling will likely contribute to its end.

DLATL777 - no offense but if a fare like this has been around for as many years then it's more than likely many others have called about it and yet it is still around.

That being said, point well taken on not calling anyone about such fares - learning experience for me!

Sorry, but you're making that prediction out of nothing. There's no logical reason to claim that. Yes, people shouldn't call, but no, it's unlikely poster's call makes any difference, given how long this fare has been around and the fact that it's not much out of line with other fares.

So much paranoia.

Deal of the Day

A good deal, business class, Los Angeles - Maldives

1. Redeem 55,000 AA miles to fly CX LAX-HKG-CMB in business class

2. Purchase the following business class ticket on Expedia

CMB-MLE on Sri Lankan
stopover* (for a week!)
MLE-LHR on Sri Lankan
LHR-LAX on AA (book BA operated codeshare or AA with VIP to F)
$1800 all-in one-way

no HIP pricing at MLE because AA does not publish a MLE-LAX fare

Last edited by Colin; Aug 29, 2011 at 8:45 am Reason: 1. Removed erroneous reference to redemption with BA miles

I recently booked said ticket by Colin, but I believe my fare rules state that I couldn't fly AA coded BA flights accross the pond.

What can I do? I would rather fly BA in F.

When did the fare rules change?

How can you redeem 50,000 BA miles for a J ticket to Sri Lanka? I thought it would be 80,000 miles as per the BA award chart.
