Thanks for the follow-up. Looking at the higher basefare it sems fare construction shows different / lacks fuel surcharges seen on other carriers.

[QUOTE=Swiss Tony;16944762]For those based in the UK:
Bangkok on Etihad for 1475 - book by Aug 31st, travel Jan-Jun 2012

http://www.etihadairways.com/sites/E...viewmore=VRNRC

Tried booking two of these yeterday. Boy, the Etihad website was/is flaky Wanted stopovers in AUH, both ways (rules suggest this is fine) but;

- Whatever dates I tried it always showed availability for Y fares & Y seat selection, despite me pre-selecting J class; this was using the "international" site.

- UK site doesn't seem to have stopover option, only multi-city, which returns a much higher J fare

T's & C's rule out booking via their sales offices. Might be worth a try though? Frustrating! Suggestions please!

Is this fare dead??? I was able to see it 2 days ago on KVS but now the cheapest J fare showing is over $8k!

Hmm well looks like it. Hope they bring it back. Weird as they just extended the fare recently and its been around for a while.

It has tendency about disappearing now and then. I think it will pop-up again when TK's ancient IT get their act together.

...Now to think of it, it may very well be that it got killed because people are spamming this fare all over here and everywhere else and probably someone has called the airline and tried to book JFK-KUL for their 50+ wedding guests.

I am trying to book the reverse (MNL-HKG-SFO-YVR) on Expedia. I am getting a fare of USD 1464.60.

MNL-HKG on CX
HKG-SFO on SQ
SFO-YVR on AC

What i'd like to know is what fare class are these flights on each airline? I called Expedia and they told me its V class on all 3 airlines. But V class on SQ means its economy class!

Can someone tell me the right fare class? I am posting the fare rules here

Fare Basis Code: C

The Fare is a C class fare.

Expedia is not good for much when it comes to non-Economy fares.

As a rule, you shouldn't call anybody, but honestly, I doubt that calling expedia does any more damage to a fare than talking about it in an open forum like this one, so I don't think it will matter much.

Just so I'm clear, this is MNL-YVR in C? o/w?

Not bad, if you can get the transpac on SQ. It sucks that MNL-HKG is on a OW carrier... maybe that can be worked out with TG or SQ instead?
