UA/CO DEN-SAN $166ai 3,970 eqm / 4.2cpm
Ok, so it's not the *greatest* MR, but 4 segs same day RT is not bad. Found it Jan 8 & 29 so far but more days may be available...
Leave DEN @6am, connect in ORD, and via LAX on the return. Home @9:19pm
Book on CO.COM -.bomb is charging $1151.80 for same exact flights. All 4 segs are UA metal, SAN-LAX is a turbo prop.
Enjoy!

Actually you can do a little better than 3970
DEN-CLE-LAX-CLD (3753 EQM) and DEN-ORD-LAX-CLD (3132 EQM) are available for $89 a/i each way. That's either 2.37 CPM or 2.84 CPM.

One problem with these runs that we've been finding that depart from DEN, and connect in ORD to maximize miles, even when all flights are UA operated, is that we can't use UA ecerts for them.

Good find, imho. I was able to find this fare as far out as early March, and I jumped on one. In tracking my *total* hard dollar outlay for mileage runs (not just airfare), my best trips tend to be same day turns from home airport on single PNR. With RCC access and a good UDU karma, a same day turn's only other expense is airport parking. Definitely worth a bit of a bump in fare cpm if it keeps all other expenses near zero.

How do you book CO.COM via ORD? Multiple destinations? Can't find the same fare that way. Do find DEN-IAH-SAN-IAH-DEN (4358 EQM) for $165 ai (out at 6:15AM, back at 10:30 PM), but that is all CO metal.

Got it. 1/26 is available too, out at 6AM and back at 6:30PM. That's 318 EQMs per hour for 12 hours for a domestic flight that involves no overnights! Must be one of the more efficient one-day runs out there.

E+ Fan - make sure you have plenty of connect time in SAN, as you have to change from terminal 1 to the commuter terminal. The red bus only runs every 5-10 minutes, and takes a while to get there...

Actually on 1-day MR without bags, if there was not a bus waiting, I'd walk it. It's fairly a fairly short walk. Real problem is that you need to go back thru security. Now that's another story. Good luck....

The fare is still there. I tried DEN-ORD-LAX-CLD (Carlsbad) on Sunday 2/6, returning Thursday 2/10 CLD-LAX-DEN. The extra segment adds a security fee, so the total is $174.50. I may jump on this. I need to be in San Diego anyway, and car rentals seem to be fairly cheap at CLD.

DEN-ORD-LAX-SAN-LAX-DEN all in 1 day for $174.50
The ORD-LAX that this finds is a 767 so a better chance at UDU depending on your status...

COSPILOT and I booked same as above, except we have a full CLD-LAX-ORD-DEN return, for $178.60. We're flying out of DEN on 1 March, which is the only day in March that itasoftware shows this overnight itinerary/fare being available. Note that apparently ONLY a local Holiday Inn provides airport shuttle service, no other hotels, so a $32+ roundtrip taxi ride will be required to the La Quinta. If you need a car, only Avis and Hertz rent at CLD, and they close at 1730 during the week, and 1600 on weekends.
