Say goodbye to these one too. A graveyard of great fares. Book 'em while you can.

Great fares from KHI. Yet, I am not sure if it is worthwhile to go to KHI for those?

Flying in or out of KHI

At the current point in history I think that you might have to pay me a premium to go there. Even if the flight was free I would think twice.

Good find.
How is everyone booking this? I only occasionally get expensive prices from asiana's site, or this error much more frequently:

No flights were found that matched your search
No flights were found between New York, NY (JFK-John F. Kennedy Intl.) and Tokyo, Japan (NRT-Narita Intl.) that matched your request.
You chose an airline that may have limited service dates or destinations. Click the Change Search button below to go back and change options to perform a new search on Asiana Airlines, or click the Cancel button below to go back to home page.
What dates work?

I picked the same dates as the OP, used expedia. Mar 1-9. For some of these Asian fares, I find that it takes trying several days of the week to get it to price out. If I choose the wrong day, it trippples.

Hmm, one of these one-ways combined with a one-way BD award is tempting. How much security hassle do you think would be generated by a one-way ticket from Pakistan with no checked luggage?

Try it and report here if you ever make it back. Some (including me) would never dare. BTW which BD award segment were you thinking about taking?

I was able to pull KHI-BKK J on TG, BKK-ICN on OZ in J, and the final leg ICN-LAX on OZ in F for $1,425.

Assuming one actually did this, is F on OZ worth the additional $500?

And just FYI Im still seeing OW J fares EX CMB for $1800 or so.

I did ex-KHI once, used ex-khi AC J to YVR, SQ to ICN then AC.

I flew with my hand laguage only, when I arrived in KHI I went to the what SQ use as a business lounge, which was new and nice but not much of food.
The called SQ check-in staff who came in took my passport and printout of my e-ticket, and came back with a boadring card ( it took like 40 minutes) but I was fine with it.

EY flies from AUH to KHI one way in J for around 250 $.

Honestly I was sacred to pass through KHI but it all went smooth, I think i will do it again if I have to!

What do you think? Do you know many countries in the world likely to raise a bigger red flag than Pakistan? Add to that no luggage, add to that a one-way flight and add to that the absence of a clear purpose for a trip to Pakistan and I think that you have your answer. It will not necessarily result in being stopped but don't be surprised if all your movements are logged on a database and closely watched...
