Going through LAS and DEN on the return from SFO only adds a couple hundred extra miles. Probably not worth the effort unless you need segments (and if you need segments flying to Asia is not the best way to get them!).

$640 going SEA-SFO/LAX-NRT on those dates. Too bad I can't take three days off of work to fly!

I was wondering about driving TPAC, but google suggests kayaking.

I had never seen that before, so I was wondering the same thing. Kayaking across the Pacific doesn't sound like a great idea though.

Now what's interesting is that on the return you kayak from HNL back to SEA to get to SFO. Is Gas Works Park really the only location to launch a kayak if you want to paddle across the Pacific?

I don't understand why it has you going through the locks, wouldn't you be better off disembarking at the Shilshole Marina after such a lengthy ocean voyage?

how far is it across the Bering Strait? might need a visa in case those patrol boats catch you. OBTW someone did swim it back in 1987

I assume there's no way to do a same day turnaround? Tried a few sets of dates and got $3K+ fares.
