Because of the lack of security lanes?
All things considered I'd be fine if they gave CLEAR the boot and had a line for First/Premium only that also allowed PreCheck privileges. CLEAR has an over-subscription problem and based on my own anecdotal experience, at many large airports it now seems to be the most chaotic option. Something will have to give eventually. |

I have mixed experiences with CLEAR at T5. One time it saved the day (well, avoided a rather long wait in the regular PreCheck line). Another time, I stood stationary in the CLEAR line for a good five minutes near the very front of the line and the infrequent traveler chaos in front of me was a sight to behold. I jumped over to the PreCheck line and got through faster.

Although ORD at T1 has always been a CLEAR "bright spot", at most other airports I frequent, it is a worse option than just PreCheck. I get it free from United. Can't imagine paying for it. I guess handy to have for the occasional use, but more and more, I find PreCheck is a much better, faster, option. |

We are looking at a first/business class lane too, but given the width of the tunnel area there's limitations on how many lanes can be created. |
