If anyone's interested in what I ended up doing - I'd planned to meet a friend for coffee at the airport (she was going to come over on the light rail), but she overslept, so I stuck my luggage in one of those amazing airside lockers and wandered around for a bit before sitting on the roof of the parking garage and sipping lemonade while reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower and watching planes take off. It was rather pleasant.

For not leaving the airport property, I think you did quite well. :) It's not too pleasant to try that in the winter, so I'm glad you were here in the summer.
