Recs for Take-out or Cheap Eats Near Four Seasons

I'm visiting Chicago this weekend with my husband and 16 month. We seek breakfast and lunch places that we can bring or takeout from in close proximity to the Four Seasons.

Also, we will be arriving around 10pm to the hotel and we seek take-out from any local establishment for dinner.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

There are restaurants in Water Tower Place, which is not too far. IIRC, there is a California Pizza Kitchen and a food court (and probably more) in the mall and a Cheesecake Factory in the lower level of the Hancock building. All are within easy walking distance.

I highly recommend L'Appetito on the Hancock's plaza, an Italian deli and grocery. For takeout and baby food, try grocery stores: Potash Brothers at 875 N State, Whole Foods Market at 30 W Huron, Trader Joe's at 44 E Ontario, and Jewel (sister company of Albertson's/Acme) at 550 N State or 1210 N Clark. Potash is a block behind the Four Seasons; the others are a 5-10 minute walk away.

Late night dinner, like everything else around there, will not be cheap. Your options are better west of Michigan. The area around Rush & Cedar has lots of loud bars with food and some see-and-be-seen late restaurants; for something quieter, try Quartino, 626 N. State -- an Italian wine bar with great small plates, open until 1 AM. Other restaurants along Clark and Wells (between Grand and Chicago mostly) will have kitchens open until 11 or midnight. If you don't end up in town until 2 AM, Tempo Cafe at 6 E Chestnut is a solid if unremarkable 24-hour diner.

A local favorite for breakfast is the Original Pancake House, 22 E Bellevue. The line will be long, but moves pretty quickly.

Enjoy the fantastic weather!

For the adults, you might consider Heaven on Seven a few blocks south at Rush and Ohio. Open until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday, 10 pm otherwise.

Pretty good Louisiana food and you can even order online for takeout.

Not much there for a baby, though, in my experience.
