Based in DTW for 6 months / Help please !

Hey folks !

Starting APR01 I ll be based in Detroit, MI for the time of 6 months.

For this IŽd need a car as well as a comfortable place to stay.

Do you have any information if there is an offer for a long term car rental for affordable prices?

Any interesting offers for living ?

Thanks in advance,

Sebastian

Where in the area will you be working? Living? Planning to stay in a hotel, or looking for an apt? Some apartments in the area offer six month leases. If you are interested in that I could have a friend send you some info. Also, Craigslist can be good for short term rentals.

Well, I work at the DTW airport then.

I solved the housing problem with an apartment in Northville. :)

Car problem still exists

Thanks, S.

Can't help with the car; I don't know of any place that offers six month auto leases.

You should have fun driving 275 from Northville to Metro though. If the way is clear, that road is usually our local version of the Daytona 500.

Actually, I recommend using on Hines Drive.....

Also, you might want to try and see if any of the auto dealerships will give you a deal.

Yes, the cheapest deal with a rental car is 560$ per month which is still a good deal but anyways...

Thanks,
