IS CLE the worst for baggage waittime?
 

I waited 25 minutes last night from the time the aircraft door was opened until the first bag showed up on the carousel. This is par for the course at CLE. Of the dozen or so airports I regularly land in, they are the worst. Anyone disagree?

My vote goes to EWR. 25 minutes is a pretty average time to wait. I've had to wait more than 40 minutes a couple of times. When I travel through EWR now, I only carry on bags.

DAY - regularly 30-45 minutes.

AGS - 20-30 minutes, an airport the size of a postage stamp, and they only handle 1-2 flights at a time.

PHL has always seemed to be the worst for me.

I've got to agree with this. By far the worst I've ever seen. I almost never check but my flight last Friday into EWR I had to; I had to wait 55 minutes before the first bag came off the belt! Just plain unacceptable.

IAD is the worst

what airline were you on? southwest is usually not too bad with it, and it seems CO isn't either. it can take a while for the bags to travel from the far ends of the B,C,D concourses though, esp D, that's quite a haul, as i'm sure you would've noticed if you were coming from there

PHX and MCO seem pretty bad to me, esp on SWA
