Greek gods and demigods only. No room for distant cousins. :)

Finally had the Rosebud Steakhouse burger. WOW - that was quite the piece of meat! Fantastic, and a great environment too. My buddy and I ate at the bar and had a great time. Highly recommended.

I have to disagree, Moody's does not have the best burgers. I live a couple of blocks form there and what they have is a great outdoor seating area, cheap beer and a mediocre burger.

The Ambassador in Hoffman Estates. Just of I-90 on Barrington Rd.

Do you mean The Assembly? Just south of the tollway, east side of Barrington Rd? They have awesome burgers -- I love going there :)

When in Chicago, the meat/grease food of choice has to be a good, hot Italian Beef sandwich. Other places make good burgers, but there may be no other place that comes close to a good CHI I.B.

Amen to Italian Beef, best in Chicago is Al's on Taylor Street (they opened a small franchise in the area and surrounding suburbs)

I'm surprised Twisted Spoke is nowhere on this list, been rated by Citysearch as "Best Burger" etc....and they are quite delcious!

Also, Peppercorn Burgers at Wildfire are to die for...

I really miss home

Tried the Rosebud burger a week or so ago with a bunch of friends, and it's just as good as advertised. Additionally, the whole waitstaff are excellent - and make you feel at ease whether you're ordering the surf and turf or just a burger. The review mentioned that, but I was surprised that part was true!

That is so wrong. Nothing beats Mr. Beef. ;) Anyway, there is a thread on that topic so we don't need to debate it here. I'll just have the last word. :D

We had a Flyertalk lunch at Rosebud Steakhouse a few weeks ago. Burgers were good, not great. However, the Rosebud burger at Carmine's is the best burger I've ever had (but not always on the menu).

OK, I wanted to see if you could be wrong twice - you weren't. I went to Wildfire this evening. The burger was excellent. Thanks for the idea!

Hmm.. I'll have to try Carmine's next.

We need to do another Al's Italian Beef lunch...

I find Twisted Spoke burgers to be wildly inconsistent. Sometimes they are great, others they are overcooked :td: to hell, which makes it like chewing on a hockey puck!

What we need here is an In-N-Out Burger.
