Does anyone know how late the Mall of America is open on Christmas Eve or how late it has been open in previous years on Christmas Eve?

Mall of America will be open on Memorial Day (May 30, 2005) from 10:00am - 9:30pm


Monday - Friday 10:00am - 9:30pm
Saturday 9:30am - 9:30pm
Sunday 11:00am - 7:00pm

Mall of America is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The theater and some restaurants may be open. Please call the theater and individual stores for their holiday hours.

Seasonal hours may vary. Please call 952-883-8800 for latest information regarding Mall hours of operation.

Suggest you may call that number and inquire .. tho they may not know yet. Individual store hours could close earlier than the mall itself so there may be an issue there.

Worth noting that the movie theater, restaurants and many of the "entertainment" options are open much later.

While we are on the MOA topic (I am NOT a shop-a-holic).

There is Lite-Rail service from the MSP airport to the Mall. You proceed to baggage claim .. take a short tram to car rental and such.. walk thru some more doors and down an escalator (after buying your ticket). Its only a couple of stops. Do not know where it lets you out at MOA . .but hey INSIDE in the winter in MN is great!

MOA on holidays
 

Be very carefuly about visiting the mall on holidays or quasi-holidays. I was there around Easter and the mall website said it was open, but while the building was open what was actually available within the mall was VERY limited, most of the stores (all but about 5) were closed, 50% of the restaurants were closed and camp snoopy was about 80% closed. If you have specific shopping you want to do on Christmas Eve I would check with the stores you want to visit not just when the mall building is open.
