The 2005 show for the public starts this Friday Feb 11 till Feb 20

I went last weekend and will DEFINITELY advise you to bring your walking shoes. The event has grown to around 1.2 million square feet which places it larger than the NAIAS in Detroit.

Things to check out include:

Jeep Exhibit: You are actually being driven up and down a trail inside the Auto Show
Subaru Exhibit: Video Game Simulations (Think GT3)
Shell Exotic Cars: 2 Murceliagos, 1 Gallardo, 1 Enzo,
Mercury Milan: Nice looking car coming out for 2006 based on the Mazda 6

The Eye Candy Includes:

2 Maybachs
Mercedes S65 AMG
Porsche Carrera GT
Ferrari
Maserati

Agree that this is a good show; went the first weekend.

I'd add that my 8 y.o. son was enthralled with the $1,500,000 Army Stryker vehicle on display. He got to sit in the gunner's seat and operate the joystick-like control, watch the gun spin around, and observe the scene on the video monitor. A very helpful General Dynamics guy answered all questions.

My son was quite disappointed that it wouldn't fire. "Dad, I'm pushing the button and it's broken!"
