Pumphouse creamery is the labor of love of Barb Zapzalka, who grew up as one of ten kids on a Little Falls, Minnesota farm, and decided, after a career downtown, that what the big city really needed was farm-fresh ice-cream from family-farm cows.

So she opened Pumphouse, named for the first thing you'd see when you entered her family¹s farm, and now new generations of kids can know what it's like to have fresh ice-cream from organically raised, Minnesota cows. (All the ice-cream dairy comes from Pride of Mainstreet dairy, near Sauk Centre, and all the butter for Pumphouse's home-made waffle-cones is made with local Hope Creamery butter).
