Sopraffina
This restaurant takes the form of an Italian market cafe. You select your entrees, drinks, desserts and other items, and then you pay at the cashier. Sit down at nice tables. There are several of them in Chitown: the Aon building on 200 E. Randolph, ATT/USg Building at 222 W. Adams; 10 N. Dearborn; and 111 E. Wacker at the Illinois Center.
The restaurants are open from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for lunch Monday thru Friday, but the Aon Center and ATT Building are open for both Breakfast & Lunch 6:00am - 4:00pm Monday thru Friday. Now for the fun part: the menu. There are many different types of individual size pizzas that are simply awesome, as Chitownflyer is a Pizza addict. Try the TOMATO, SPINACH & MUSHROOM with pesto, red onion, fontina and parmesan cheese that costs $7.50. Another good choice is SUPREMO with homemade sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, fontina, provolone and parmesan cheese costs $8.50. The best part of all is that any remaining pizzas at 3:00 p.m. go for 1/2 price as they close up shop. Some of the other items of note are as follows. The Cortina sanwhich of smoked turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, pesto mayonnaise on sun dried tomato and onion flat bread. A great choice is the LASAGNA VERDURA roasted vegetable lasagna with ricotta and goat cheese, tomato basil cream sauce for $6.75. Top off your great meal with a Mochaccino or Espresso. Sopraffina is a great place for a quality lunch for office workers in downtown Chitown. Peace out. |
I'll second that. They offer "fast food" to go for a good price that is tasty and made from good ingredients. The Pizza-of-the-day is usually very good.
